Do I need to be very fit to join?

No extreme fitness is required, but this is a moderate-level winter hike. You should be comfortable: Walking several kilometers, Hiking on snowy and sometimes icy terrain. The guide sets a suitable pace and takes breaks when needed.

Is there a minimum age?

Children under 5 years old are not recommended. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

What should I wear?

We recommend warm layers underneath: Thermal underwear, wool socks, hat and scarf. We provide outer winter gear and ice grippers if needed.

What happens if the weather is very cold?

Korouoma operates in normal Arctic winter conditions. The route and pace are adapted to weather and trail conditions. Tours are only cancelled in extreme situations.

Can I use my own winter hiking gear?

Can this tour be private?

Yes. Private Korouoma hikes can be arranged on request for families, photographers, or small groups.

Jeremias and Erwin were absolutely amazing!! We saw a fantastic green Aurora (it even danced) on a night with very low probability and lots of cloud cover. Fantastic photos, fire and drink and snacks. We only managed to see such an amazing Aurora due to Jepa’s and Erwin’s dedication...
