Pickup from your Rovaniemi accommodation around 9:30. The day begins with a guided trip to Ranua Wildlife Park. As you walk through the snowy forest, you’ll see more than 50 Arctic species — the polar bears are a highlight. Visitors often spot lynx, wolverines, owls, and many other northern animals. During the break, a hearty Finnish campfire lunch is served.
Return to Rovaniemi by 15:00; enjoy a brief rest.
Embark on a Northern Lights Group Tour with Guarantee View. Our expert guide will drive until we find clear skies – no distance or time limits! Bundle up in provided thermal gear and watch the aurora borealis dance if weather permits. Around a warm campfire, grill sausages and sip hot berry juice as your guide shares Lappish stories. With a bit of luck, the Northern Lights will appear – and we’ll capture the moment in photos for you. (If Mother Nature hides the auroras tonight, don’t worry – you have another chance tomorrow!)
The second day starts at 8:30 with a visit to a Traditional Reindeer Farm in the countryside. Here you’ll meet the gentle reindeer and their herders. During the visit, guests learn about Lappish reindeer husbandry and everyday traditions. A short 500-metre sleigh ride through the snowy forest is included. Feeding the reindeer with their favourite lichen makes for wonderful photos. Finally, warm up by the fire in a cosy lakeside hut and listen to stories from the herder family.
Return to town by lunchtime (lunch on your own, guide can recommend spots).
Choose your adventure (3 hours). We offer three options so you can tailor the day. You can decide the option when booking; all are similar length and include hot beverages.
After dusk, we head out for a second Northern Lights hunting night. This improves your chances significantly – we’ll explore a new route or location this time, based on the latest aurora forecasts. With luck, the skies will unveil the aurora’s green arcs for a breathtaking finale to your trip. (If you already saw auroras on Day 1, tonight is an opportunity for more photos or simply enjoy another night in nature.)
Note: This 2-day itinerary is packed with experience. We can adjust the pacing if needed (for example, start later on Day 2 if you prefer a relaxed morning). Families with young children might swap the afternoon of Day 2 for a calmer activity or a visit to Santa Claus Village instead (tell us your preference).
Note: Minimum 2 adults required to run this package. Children are welcome (recommended age 5+ for late night aurora outings). Northern Lights sightings cannot be guaranteed, but our tours have a very high success rate and even include a guarantee policy– if you don’t see lights, we offer a re-hunt or partial refund (per our terms). Snowmobile option: driver must have a valid driving license. Husky option: two people per sled (can swap driver halfway). Ice fishing option: requires ability to walk ~500m on lake ice. We reserve the right to modify the order of activities (or slightly adjust timing) for weather or operational reasons, ensuring you still get all listed experiences.

My girlfriend and I did the snowmobile and ice fishing tour with David. It was one of our highlights of our 7day trip in Lapland. David took his time to brief us on how to drive the snowmobile safely and responsibly, looked and knew the best places for some nice video/photo shots and great views. The ice fishing and campfire...

Jeremias and Erwin were absolutely amazing!! We saw a fantastic green Aurora (it even danced) on a night with very low probability and lots of cloud cover. Fantastic photos, fire and drink and snacks. We only managed to see such an amazing Aurora due to Jepa’s and Erwin’s dedication...

Nature was a bit tough on us — we only caught a brief glimpse of the Aurora after four hours. But huge kudos to the team for their patience and dedication. They made sure everyone was comfortable and still delivered a great experience overall. You won’t regret going with this company...

Sofia led us on the sleigh combo outing. She was very friendly and provided a lot of information on life in Finland. The reindeer sleigh experience was interesting but was not ‘dashing through the snow’. Reindeer were led by walking leads for about 2km, and the guide at the farm shared info on reindeer life and care...

The first tour was cancelled due to the weather, but we were rebooked at no extra expense for the next day. Tour departed on time and, as we were warned, we had to drive a couple of hours north to get away from the cloud. Our driver guide Sofian was engaging and helpful. He also had access to data which helped him predict...
